About the Role
As a Texture Artist at Anfal Productions, you will be responsible for creating high-quality textures for characters, environments, vehicles, and props across various projects. You will collaborate closely with the art director, 3D modelers, and other team members to ensure that all textures meet the artistic and technical standards of the project. Your work will play a key role in delivering visually stunning 3D assets, whether for games, architectural visualization, or product design.
Key Responsibilities:
Create realistic and stylized textures for 3D models, including characters, environments, props, and vehicles, using a variety of texturing techniques (hand-painted, photo-sourced, procedural).
Work closely with the 3D modeling team to ensure UV maps are optimized for texturing.
Use texturing tools such as Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Photoshop, or equivalent to create detailed and high-quality texture maps (diffuse, normal, specular, roughness, etc.).
Ensure all textures follow the project’s style guide and meet technical requirements for real-time engines (Unreal Engine, Unity) or offline rendering engines (V-Ray, Corona).
Collaborate with technical artists and shading experts to develop materials that work seamlessly within game engines or architectural visualizations.
Adapt textures based on feedback from art directors, project managers, or clients, ensuring they align with project goals and quality benchmarks.
Maintain a high level of detail and quality in all textures, while optimizing them for performance.
Stay up to date with industry trends and new tools to continuously improve the texturing pipeline.
Manage and organize texture files and assets within the project pipeline, ensuring smooth collaboration with the rest of the team.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements
Job Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Game Design, 3D Art, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Texture Artist, ideally within the 3D art, game development, or architectural visualization industries.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality texture work for 3D models, including examples of realistic and stylized texturing.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in texturing tools such as Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Mari, Photoshop, or similar.
Strong understanding of UV mapping and the ability to work closely with modelers to ensure UVs are clean and optimized.
Knowledge of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows and the creation of materials for real-time engines (Unreal Engine, Unity) and offline rendering engines (V-Ray, Corona).
Familiarity with different texture maps (diffuse, specular, normal, displacement, roughness) and how they influence the final appearance of a model.
Ability to create seamless, tileable textures for large environments.
Understanding of how to optimize textures for performance without sacrificing quality.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and an eye for color, lighting, and material properties.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with team members and clients.
Ability to take constructive feedback and apply it effectively to improve the final product.

Nice-to-Have:
Experience in architectural visualization, with knowledge of materials and textures used in architecture and interior design.
Familiarity with procedural texturing workflows in Houdini or Substance Designer.
Experience with photogrammetry or scanning techniques to create realistic textures.
